## Increased Demand for AWB Tracking Presents a Challenge and Opportunity
At its founding in 2018, [Beacon](https://www.beacon.com/ "Beacon") aimed to build a supply chain and finance platform that would transform the logistics industry. This goal they did achieve but as Beacon grew, the focus shifted to a supply chain visibility platform to help businesses optimize supply chain operations.

The decision to pivot was met with some unprecedented challenges. Beacon was not integrated with any of the major airlines that its clients used to ship their freight. Furthermore, their customers were increasingly in need of Airway Bill tracking services to monitor their air cargo movements.

It became evident that Beacon needed a professional tracking partner that would provide a reliable AWB tracking API service and help the company integrate with the different airlines that its customers were using for their air cargo.

## Airline Carriers Integration Enhances Real-time Tracking
Beacon first signed up to TrackingMore in July 2022, and after an extensive period of trialing the air freight tracking function it needed. The company became a paid subscriber in February 2023.

Beacon's supply chain visibility platform underwent significant changes that helped boost its efficiency and reliability after partnering with TrackingMore. The number of supported airline carriers went up to 150+, with more than 50% of them integrated via TrackingMore. With this, Beacon now provides its customers with accurate tracking milestones, ETAs, and real-time alerts.

End-to-end air freight tracking per shipment consumes 50 quotas on TrackingMore through Beacon, but this has been offset by an increased uptake of the company's paid plans. The overall effect has been an increase in profit margins, which shot up by 1900%.
