How to track your AliExpress order?

You can track your AliExpress's orders in two ways.

  1. Using the AliExpress Website or mobile app
  2. Using a third-party tracking solution

1. Track through the mobile app or the official website

Here are the simple steps.

Step 1:
Download the mobile app for Google Play Store or App Store or log into your profile on aliexpress.com.

Step 2:
Click on "My orders."

Step 3:
Select the order, click "view details," and copy the tracking number.

Step 4:
Type or paste the tracking number into the field provided.

Step 5:
Click on "track shipment."

Once this is done, the next page displays the tracking details and order status.

2. Track your AliExpress's orders with TrackingMore

Aside from using AliExpress's official website, you can conveniently track your orders using TrackingMore; you do not need to log into your AliExpress account on your mobile or computer. You can easily update your order status from anywhere at any time with TrackingMore. Here are the simple steps to follow:

Step 1:
Copy the tracking number provided to you by the merchant you ordered from on AliExpress.

Step 2:
On your browser, go to TrackingMore's order tracking page and paste the tracking number you copied from step 1 in the provided field, and select "Track."

Step 3:
When you click the "Track" button, the page showing information on your package details shows up. Then you can find all the information regarding your package.

How to cancel an AliExpress order?

It is common for people to change their mind about an order after making a purchase; this could be due to a myriad of reasons ranging from personal to economic concerns. However, there is no need to fret as order cancellation on AliExpress is complicated.
If you have not yet paid the order, you can cancel it immediately by clicking "cancel order."

Do note that if your order status is marked as "The seller has shipped your order," this means that your order has been shipped, and you cannot cancel the order. But you can return the package after you have received the delivery.

If your order status is marked as "Awaiting Shipment," only then can you cancel the order. But with the authorization of the seller. You should contact the seller directly to help hasten the process.
Here are the steps below:

1. Log into your AliExpress account using the website or mobile app, and select the "My Orders" section.

2. You will see a list of recent orders you have made; find the one you wish to cancel and click "View Detail."

3. Next, click "Request Order Cancellation," select the reason for cancellation from the drop-down menu and click "Submit."

4. Once this is done, you have to wait for the seller to confirm the request and then you will get a refund.

What do you do when the seller refuses to confirm your request?

Sometimes a seller might refuse to confirm your order cancellation request. This is usually because they have sent the package out for shipping already, or they do not want to lose money. In either case, here is what to do:

If the seller has sent the package out for shipping, they will send you a tracking number within five working days. If the seller refuses to send you a tracking number within this period, you must open a dispute and ask for a refund. But if the seller provides you with a tracking number, this proves they have sent your package. In this case, you have to wait patiently till you receive the order, and then you apply to return the package.

How long does AliExpress order take?

When it comes to AliExpress, receiving your orders is dependent on two things; the shipping method you choose and the package destination.

There are two shipping options that AliExpress provides.

  • AliExpress Standard Shipping
  • AliExpress Premium Shipping

AliExpress also supports shipping from some other third-party shipping services like:

  • FedEx
  • ePacket
  • SunYou Economic Air Mail

AliExpress Standard Shipping

AliExpress standard shipping is a cheap shipping service provided by AliExpress; sometimes, it offers free shipping at no extra cost. However, it is a relatively slow shipping option that typically takes between 15 to 30 days to deliver. Of all the shipping options available on AliExpress, the standard shipping is the cheapest. If you are not in a hurry to receive your package, then this is the best option.

AliExpress Premium Shipping

AliExpress premium shipping is a more expensive shipping option provided by AliExpress; orders are usually received between 7 to 15 working days. Although the shipment is processed through private couriers like DHL, FedEx, etc., a big advantage of this option is that it is comparatively cheaper than patronizing these private couriers directly as the customs cost on large goods is lower with AliExpress Premium than the private couriers.

As pointed out earlier, another factor that affects delivery time is the package destination.

Here is a table that highlights the delivery duration based on location.

  • United States: 10-12 Days Standard Shipping/6-8 Days Premium Shipping
  • Canada: 10-14 Days Premium Shipping/14-18 Days Standard Shipping
  • Italy: 4 Weeks Standard Shipping/13-16 Days Standard Shipping
  • Germany: 25-27 Days Standard Shipping/14-17 Days Premium Shipping
  • France: 24-27 Days Standard Shipping/11-14 Days Premium Shipping
  • United Kingdom: 19-27 Days Standard Shipping/10-12 Days Premium Shipping
  • Netherlands: 8-11 Days Premium Shipping
  • Denmark: 12-14 Days Premium Shipping
  • Finland: 15-22 Days Standard Shipping
  • Austria: 13-15 Days Premium Shipping
  • Australia: 12-14 Days Premium Shipping
  • Singapore: About 4 Weeks Standard Shipping/12-16 Days Premium Shipping
  • Malaysia: 9-12 Days Premium Shipping
  • India: 7-14 Days Premium Shipping

Why is my AliExpress order taking so long?

Some of the reasons that cause a delay in your AliExpress order delivery include:

1. Seller delays to send out package

AliExpress depends on sellers to send out products before they can be shipped. After you make an order, sometimes it may take the seller an unusually long amount of time to confirm, process, and send out the order for shipment. During this wait, AliExpress cannot do anything but wait for the product to get to their facility. Therefore, if there is a delay with the seller, there would be a delay with shipping.

2.Popularity of AliExpress in certain locations

Countries where AliExpress is popularly used, are known to have faster shipping times than otherwise. This is because AliExpress has an established partnership system with shipping services in those countries.

3. Holiday Shopping

During the holidays, e-commerce generally experiences a spike in activities as buyers find it more convenient to shop online than to visit crowded stores. During this season, your AliExpress order can be stalled for extensively longer periods than usual because of the backlog of orders that need to be processed for shipping. Everyone in the logistics chain is usually affected from the seller to AliExpress them down to the courier services.

Holidays such as Christmas can be an overwhelming period in e-commerce usually due to the rush by buyers to get their products before Christmas day or the end of the year.

4. Means of package transportation

The means of transportation used by the shipping service for your order affects the speed of your delivery greatly. Air travel is the fastest, ground travel (vehicle or rail) is next while sea travel is the slowest. So depending on your shipping option, you would know whether to expect your package quickly or later.

Is it safe to order from AliExpress?

When shopping online, security and safety is a major concern for buyers. Alibaba the parent company of AliExpress being an established multinational company will not risk being associated with a scandalous enterprise and as such will do everything to ensure that AliExpress is a safe haven for e-commerce activities.

AliExpress has a couple of buyer protection policies which they adhere to strictly such as:

1. Secure payment methods

Online credit and debit card payments on AliExpress are secured with a 3D secure protocol which serves as an extra layer of security to protect users' payment information and avoid the risk of being defrauded by third-party internet scammers.

2. Reliable dispute process

The AliExpress customer service team is always on deck to solve buyer/seller disputes, they expertly attend to all dispute queries and are trained to follow through succinctly to ensure the issues are resolved amicably.

3. Prompt delivery guaranteed

AliExpress explicitly promises that the expected days for delivery of all packages will be published to the buyers and a compulsory refund will be issued if the order is not delivered on the said date.

4. Guaranteed refunds

If customers are not satisfied with their products or have been misled to buy products that are significantly different from what was advertised, AliExpress guarantees a mandatory refund of the money spent.

AliExpress is generally safe to shop at but like every other e-commerce platform, basic safety tips like checking seller tips and reviews, protecting your payment information both offline and online and so on are vital in creating a safe shopping experience.

How to get a refund on AliExpress?

1. Gather Evidence:

Making a video or taking pictures of a package when you receive it can help significantly improve your case when opening a dispute. You can never tell the state of the products, so having this evidence handy is highly recommended.

2. Open a dispute:

Opening a dispute is the standard way AliExpress designed to handle issues of refunds and returns. To open a dispute follow these steps:

Step 1: Log into your AliExpress account and go to the "My orders" section.

Step 2: Select the order you demand a refund of and select the type of compensation you want.

Step 3: indicate the refund amount and specify if the products arrived or not.

Step 4: Explain the issue and upload the visual evidence you have.

3. Follow up the dispute's progress:

Make sure you follow up on the progress of the dispute because the seller may present a contrary response to yours.

The final decision will be taken by the AliExpress dispute representative if the customer and seller do not reach an agreement. You may receive an email with the decision or you can check the dispute's page.
